Here's a quick update for you on what was covered in the Oct 25th class. we covered 'Arogatha' (Arogatha-Free From Diseases)the sixth virtue described in the Hanuman Dhyana Shloka
- We started the class with opening prayers, Rama nama japa, Dhyana shloka and Hanuman Chalisa -Doha and first 5 Caupais. More then 50% students memorized Dhyana Shloka We encourage everyone to memorize this by next class. We are running a memorization challenge in the class to encourage the kids learn and memorize as much as possible.
- We then reviewed all the virtues discussed in the previous sessions and started talking about Arogatha ( Good Health)
- Good physical health results in a body that is free of all diseases. "Health is Wealth". When our physical health is good, we can enjoy our life.
- Good mental health is also required for us to have a peaceful and happy life. Some of the diseases of mind are Pride, arrogance, Stealing and rudeness.
- We brainstormed how we can physically remain healthy
- Eat Nourishing food and Exercise regularly
- Keep oneself clean and live in a clean environment
- To remain mentally healthy and avoid germs of laziness, greed and anger we should:
- avoid harmful television shows
- avoid friends who negatively influence you
- read appropriate books
- Pray to God daily
- We wrapped up the class with closing prayers.
