Song of God-sung by Lord Krishna himself
The Gita is a conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna right before the great war of Mahabharata.
It is a guide to live a happy, peaceful and prosperous life. It has solutions to all your doubts, fears, dilemmas, problems.
Life-lessons from Bhagavad Gita:
Focus on your action and not on the results:
KARMANYE VAADHIKAARASTE MA PHALESHU KADACHANA
*Actions should be selfless without worrying about the end result.
*Person who does a selfless act is a Karma Yogi (our Gurudev Swami Chinmaya JI)
*Motto- work is worship.
2. Be fearless- the soul never dies.
*Soul is atma.
*Transmigration of soul- cycle of birth and death
*Do good deeds- break-free from the cycle of birth and death (Liberating the soul from the body)
3. Know that nothing is permanent-learn to tolerate Tough situations come and go.
*Change is constant- This too shall pass
4. Stay calm and steady -Become stable like an ocean
*Control our restless mind
*Regulate our thoughts
5. Getting rid of our Six enemies-Shat Vikarnas
*Jealousy
*Anger
*Greed
*Arrogance
*Delusion
*Desire
At the end of the teaching, the Lord shows VISWAROOPADARSANAM to Arjuna and Arjuna is convinced to fight the war against Adharma.
What does God want from us?
If one offers me a leaf, a flower, a fruit or a little water with devotion and a heart that is pure, I will accept that gift of love.
God belongs to everyone. All God needs from us is love.
