Summary: It was great to see the children after a long break. We started with the opening Shlokas. We then discussed the quote of the day by Pujya Gurudev. We started our discussion by asking everyone what they wanted to be remembered for. when they grow up, the one value that defines their personality. They all had really good answers. They wanted to be known for being respectful, honest, kind, intelligent, inspirational, disciplined etc. We discussed about the need to keep working on the values we chose and eventually, we will be known for that virtue. When we realize our true potential and work on it, success will definitely follow. We discussed the story. Sugriva had almost forgotten his promise to Rama that he would help finding Sita. He was reminded by Hanuman of his duty and he sent four teams in four directions. The teams that went East West and North came back without any success. The direction that Ravana took SIta as indicated by Jatayu to Rama was South. Hence the team that went South had great warriors like Jambavan, Angada, Nala, Neela and of course Hanuman. They met Sampati, the brother of Jatayu. Sampati was able to see very far. He told the team that Ravana had taken Sita to Lanka. After a lot of discussion it was decided that Hanuman was the only one powerful enough to fly to Lanka and get back. He sat on a rock and meditated a few minutes upon Lord Rama and set out to Lanka to find Sita and give her Rama's message.
We also started our book, Key to Success. We discussed about what is the master key to success. The master key of a building opens all the doors in the building. Similarly if we recognize the master key we hold, self-knowledge and the potential within us we will be able to open the door to success. we also learnt that happiness does not lie in the objects but within us. We will continue discussions in the upcoming classes. We then chanted Bhagavat Gita Chapter 1, verses 19,20,21. we then went to the temple hall for Arati and pledge led by Grade 9.
