Hari Om Parents,

Here is last week's class summary.

  1. Opening Prayers 3 OMs followed by Shlokas Vakratunda, Saraswati Namastubhyam & Guru Brahma.
  2. Chanted the Dhyana shloka and reviewed its meaning.
  3. Reviewed how Hanuman served as a Wise Minister and introduced Sugreeva to Lord Rama. He helped Sugreeva become the King of Kishkindha. Also talked about how Hanuman played the role of an Advisor and met Vibhishana in Lanka when he wen to see Sita. He introduced him to Lord Rama who crowned him as King of Lanka after defeating Raavana.
  4. Story - Narada's pride. We talked about how if you surrender to the Lord the Lord will ensure that you will be a winner
  5. Activity/ Game - We once again reviewed many of the bad qualities that exists in us - Anger, Hatred, Jealousy, Fear, Greed, Cheating, Lying, Selfishness, Pride and talked about how Raavana's ten heads and symbolic of these qualities. Our game was to topple the cups symbolizing the bad qualities and to see how we can get rid of as many bad qualities as we can in the three turns we get with the ball.
  6. We continued chanting the Hanuman Chalisa and reviewed the meanings of the verses. We have chanted until Ram Rasayan Tumhare pasa, Sada Raho Raghupathi ke daasa.


    We encourage you to keep chanting the Hanuman Chalisa at home with the kids. We recommend that you purchase the following book which is available at the book store that we follow in class.
