April 5, 2020 - Grade 2 (Sunday AM)

Hari om parents,

Hope you all are doing well! We had a great session today and here is a brief summary of the same.

5th April 2020

  1. Opening prayers - we started with 3 OM's and chanted Vakratunda, Saraswati Namastubhyam & Guru Brahma.
  2. Chanted the Dhyaan Shlok
  3. We further talked about 2 of the most important things we need to do - Inspite of staying home, washing hands, helping family members, following guidelines and praying to god we still need to TRUST in god and have PATIENCE. It was good to see kids giving different ideas.
  4. Story time - Grandma and the cake. Ask the kids to recite the story back. The moral of the story is have faith in god. Take refuge in him and have no fear. In the end, things do turn out perfectly right.
  5. Chanted the Hanuman Chalisa and played question answer game. We are so happy to see kids answering confidently as they are well versed with the meaning.
  6. Brainstorming - "Naase rog hare Sab pira, japat nirantar hanumat veera"
If you chant Hanuman ji's name you will be free of diseases and pain. There are 2 kinds of diseases - Physical (Vyaadhi) like fever, allergy, stomach ache etc.
Diseases of the mind (Aadhi) - anger, hatred, jealousy.
  1. Played hangman game on whiteboard. Everyone participated and it was so much fun.
  2. Closed with ending prayers and pledge.

We would like to bring to attention 2 things which we have observed in virtual class-
  • Make your child sit down at one place throughout the duration of class. Moving around can be distracting for the whole class.
  • It is a virtual class so we do our best to give a turn to all students. So please be patient and wait for your turn.
We appreciate the time and effort you put in with the kids for the class. Hope you all have a wonderful, happy and healthy spring break!! Have fun and enjoy! See you all on April 19th at 9:15am. Take care and lots of love to all of you.

Regards,
Rupa & Chitra.
