Feb 2, 2020 - Grade 2 (Sunday AM)

Hari Om parents,

How are all of you doing? Here is the summary of our class this week.

2nd February 2020 / 9:15am

1. We started the class with 3 OM's, opening prayers followed by Shlokas Vakratunda Mahakaya, Saraswati Namastubhyam & Guru Bramha.
2. Chanted the Dhyaan Shlok
3. We discussed about Ravana having 10 heads. 10 heads are symbolic of bad qualities. We all took turns saying the one bad quality we have and played a game called eradicate Ravana.
4. Story - find a fault, please. It is always easy to find faults in others but it is difficult to find/see good in others.
5. Activity - we asked the kids to find a good quality within their class friends and in doing so figured out it takes a lot to see good in others.
6. Story - Man's greatness lies in his efforts. The moral of the story is God has given us so much, we do not need to beg but work hard & achieve.
7. Chanted Hanuman Chalisa till chaupai 30 and discussed meanings as well as mini stories from Ramayan to go with the verses. For example - the verse goes "Laaye sajeevan Lakhan jiyaye, Sri Raghubeer Harshi ur laaye" so when Laxman is hurt and Hanuman ji gets Sanjeevani and hugs Hanuman as he got the herb which help revive Laxman.

For the next class we have asked the kids to revise till chaupai 30 ( page 65) for a fun quiz. See you all on February 9th at 9:15 am.

Regards,
Rupa & Chitra.
