Here's the update for the week. It was House Spirit Day at Bala Vihar this week.
All the students across Bala Vihar are sorted into 4 different house teams. Younger kids are grouped based on their grade level. But students from 8th grade and above were grouped based on a quiz they would have taken when they'd entered 8th or 9th grade.
We had an awesome team-building Spirit Day this week, filled with fun, interesting and challenging activities. The House Team had organized many challenges for High Schoolers to tackle. The theme of the event was 'Giving'. We made many things that would be given to people from different walks of life.
Some of the fun projects were,
- they made blankets to give to children in hospitals. They made blankets with love to keep the terminally ill children warm.
- Another project was to make paracords for the military personnel. In this challenge, they had to twine a 7.5 feet cord into a small bracelet. The leads showed them how to wrap them perfectly. This aids our military heroes to can carry the cords easily as bracelets and unwrap them into 7.5 ft of very useful cord in times of need on the battlefield!
There were also other clues that the children needed to decode using their knowledge from the lessons taught at Bala Vihar. The clues were challenging, tricky and at the end, gratifying to solve :).
Our teams did wonderfully and broke the codes. They put together the clues from across the grades in their respective houses to unlock the treasure box in the end. Everyone was able to do it! Krishna's Cowboys were the first to unlock their treasure chest.
All in all, it was a fun-filled day on Sunday morning, thanks to the House Team who organized it. We dispersed after the ending prayers and pledge.
Since we didn't meet in class today, we didn't get to discuss the answer for last week's Brain Teaser. But we will give out the answer below so that we can give one more Brain Teaser for this week :). Hope you all tried to get the answer and enjoyed doing so.

Today's Brain Teaser: In the wake of the ongoing scare of Coronavirus or bio-war weapons, nuclear bombs, etc., the question for today is - Which is the most destructive weapon in this world?
So, put your thinking caps on and get cracking the puzzles. We are waiting for your responses eagerly :).
