Hari Om All,
This week we started our class with Likhita Japa. This was followed by prayers and Slokas. Please ask your children to practice the slokas at home also.
We continued watching the animated movie that covers the first part of Mahabharata - we covered chapters 6-8 that included Draupadi swayamvar , Subhadra's marriage to Arjuna, Rajsuya sacrifice, Game of dice, Grace of Sri Krishna etc. We reviewed the questions from the Mahabharata Handbook - Part 1 for all the three chapters. Next class we plan to review chapters 9-11 (Pandavas go to forest, Vidura's visit, Krishna's pledge, Arjuna's visit to heaven / Indra's palace, Bhima's meeting with Hanuman and Nahusha, Duryodhana's plot and his capture).
Parents are encouraged to purchase the Mahabharata For Children - Junior Class Handbook (Part 1 and 2) from the bookstore. There are over 50 copies in stock.
We also took Class Picture during the class. Thanks to all parents who sent their kids in Indian attire. We will share the class photo via WhatsApp when it becomes available.
