Mar 8, 2020 - Grade 2 (Sunday AM)

Hari Om parents,

How are all of you doing?

Summary of March 8th class -

1. We started with 3 OM's and the following Shlokas- Vakratunda, Saraswati Namastubhyam & Guru Bramha.
2. We chanted Dhyaan shlok and revised the meaning as well.
3. We asked the kids if they know of any different shlokas they sing at home. A few of them chanted different shlokas in glory of lord Rama or lord Hanuman.
We also chanted Karagre vasate laxmi and most of the kids knew it. One of the shlokas kids chanted was - "Ram Rameti Rameti, Rame Raame Manorame, Sahastra naam tatulyam, Ram naam varanane".
4. We chanted our favorite Hanuman Chalisa all the way and enjoyed it.
5. Story - A skinny 9th grader who wants to be on school wrestling team. His friends tease him and make fun of him. He works out everyday after school to be on the team. His grandmother encourages him to work hard and tells him nothing is impossible. Later, he not only gets selected in the school team but also wins the wrestling match and trophy. So believe in yourself and work hard to achieve your goals/dreams.
6. Geeta chanting - we chanted along with swamiji's recording shlokas 1 through 10. It was good to hear kids voices chanting confidently.
7. End of the year project - we started working on our end of the year project in which kids have to write what each quality in Dhyaan shlok means to them.
8. We concluded with closing prayers and pledge in the classroom.

See you all next Sunday at 9:15 am. Please be on time. Take care and stay healthy. I will update you if anything changes. Thank you!

Regards,
Rupa & Chitra.
